We here at The Kyle Life LOVE social media and one of our favorite applications is Twitter.
Twitter provides users the ability to follow people they want to keep updated with and there is a limit to 140 text characters when posting status updates, so it helps make the status updates more on point and effective.
Another GREAT thing about twitter is the ability to get updates on users you care about via your cell phone. This proves useful for those that don’t want to make a twitter account, but want to keep up with certain users… i.e: People will follow their local sports teams twitter accounts for up to date scores! The best way I’ve seen this feature utilized was during last year’s wild fire in Bastrop. Citizens were able to follow the twitter accounts of the local police department, fire department, ems, and anything else to make sure they got up to date info.
