Marine Corporal Phillip Duran Memorial Run/Walk will be on Sunday morning April 27th at the Hays County Precinct #2 offices at 5458 FM 2770 at Crystal Meadow Drive Kyle, Texas 78640.  Registration begins at 08:00 and ceremony/run beginning at 09:00.  There will be a brief church service by Pastor Wes Cain and flag ceremony prior to the run.

Corporal Phillip Duran was killed by a hit and run driver while running on April 27th, 2013.  He was found by his brother Chad Benninghoff in the early evening of the 28th.  This run is in honor of Marine Corporal Phillip Duran.  Our society needs to have a heightened awareness for walkers, runners and bicyclist on and near the road ways.  All  proceeds will be donated to local non profit organizations serving safety and public awareness needs of our community.

Parking will be located at the softball fields at Barton Middle school next to the Precinct #2 offices.  Over flow parking at Barton Middle School.  The run will be 5.9km beginning and finishing near the Precinct #2 offices. Traffic control will be provided by Kyle Police Department.  Water will provided along the route.  Each runner will be provided an American flag to be placed at the site of Phillip Duran’s death.  Fellow Marines are welcome to bring and place a Marine Corps. flag.

$25 dollars per runner/walker.  T-shirt included (may not have small children sizes)  Run day shirt availability may be limited.  Recommend order in advance
