Kyle, TX – Kyle City Manager Lanny Lambert has announced the return to traditional business hours for all City of Kyle administrative offices effective Monday, August 18th.
Offices returning to 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, operating hours include the Kyle City Hall, the Kyle Police Administration Building, the Kyle Parks Administration Building, and the Public Works Administration Building.
The current hours of operation (7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Friday) were originally changed in hopes of saving money on utilities and giving Kyle residents access to administrative services earlier and later in the day. A recent survey conducted by city staff found that more people were visiting city hall on Friday afternoon than on the extended hours on Monday through Thursday.
“Our responsibility is to give good customer service to the citizens of Kyle,” said Lambert.
“If more citizens are served by Friday hours than early/late hours, then we are responsible to be here for them.”
