Kyle_Texas_Golden_Chick_Robbery1Three males wearing ski masks walked into the Golden Chick restaurant located at 830 Rebel Drive Tuesday night (Nov. 17) at about 9:25 p.m. According to Kyle Police, employees at the restaurant said the men entered the establishment armed with handguns and demanded cash from the business. The suspects fled on foot with an undetermined amount of cash.

Kyle Police Chief Jeff Barnett said no customers were in the business at the time of the robbery and no injuries were reported.

Kyle_Texas_Golden_Chick_Robbery2“Officers conducted a search of the immediate area,” Barnett said. “We also received assistance from the K9 Unit of the Hays County Sheriff’s Office. At this time, no suspects have been located.”

Kyle detectives collected evidence and interviewed witnesses at the scene. They are continuing their efforts to determine the identity of the suspects.

At about 8:15 p.m. on Nov. 17, a vehicle driver and a passenger reported being pulled over in Buda by a dark car with “police type” lights on the dashboard. The passenger noticed the persons approaching the car were wearing ski masks and carrying handguns. The driver was able to flee the scene and the actors did not attempt to follow or chase the car.
